  14.                        POST INSTALLATION INFORMATION
  15.                        -----------------------------

  17. Once the basic program installation is complete, the PRL program will 
  18. automatically load and configure itself. This can be a lengthy process but 
  19. only the very first time the program is loaded. Following that, the program 
  20. will load much faster.
  21.  
  22. To start the program in the future, you should switch to the subdirectory 
  23. where you installed the program (i.e. \PRL), type ROUTE, and then press 
  24. [ENTER].  If the program has not been registered, a shareware and 
  25. registration reminder screen will appear.  After reading this screen 
  26. carefully, press any key to proceed. A title and copyright screen will be 
  27. displayed, along with the program Main Menu.

  30. QUICK START
  31. -----------
  32. In order to make FULL use of this program, you will need to read the 
  33. manual, which is supplied as the file MANUAL.TXT.  However, to get started 
  34. quickly just to see what the program looks like, simply switch to the 
  35. subdirectory where you have installed the program files (i.e. CD PRL), type 
  36. ROUTE and press [ENTER].  The program contains context-sensitive Help which 
  37. you can call by pressing the [F1] key.

  40. COLOR/MONOCHROME MONITORS
  41. -------------------------
  42. This program will check to see if you have a color video card installed in 
  43. your computer. If it finds one, it will automatically set the screen 
  44. display to the color settings. If it finds a monochrome video card, it will 
  45. automatically set the screen display to the monochrome settings. If you are 
  46. using a color card with a monochrome monitor, the program may not display 
  47. properly. However, you can go back to the DOS prompt and restart the 
  48. program using the command  ROUTE M  to restart the program in forced 
  49. monochrome mode.

  52. USER'S MANUAL & REGISTRATION FORM

  54. To View or Print the registration form, move to the far right, select the 
  55. UTILITIES menu and press [ENTER]. Then using the Down Arrow key, select the 
  56. "Registration Form" option and press [ENTER].  You will be able to view the 
  57. registration form before you print it.

  59. The User's Manual is included in a file called MANUAL.TXT.  It can also be 
  60. printed either from the menu option, or from the DOS command line. To print 
  61. it from the DOS command line, change to the directory in which MANUAL.TXT 
  62. resides. Then enter the following command to print the manual:

  64.       COPY MANUAL.TXT PRN
  65.  
  66. To View or Print the manual from within the program, move to the far right, 
  67. select the UTILITIES menu and press [ENTER]. Then using the Down Arrow key, 
  68. select the "User's Manual" option and press [ENTER].  You will be able to 
  69. view the manual on screen before you print it.
